VAUGHN, Ont. — Editorial director Lou Smyrlis and Ryder vice president Pete Dalmazzi will provide insight and analysis into Canadian outsourcing trends next week at a special breakfast meeting in Vaughan, Ont.

At no time in recent memory have transportation and logistics been more costly or more complicated. What role is outsourcing playing in reducing the cost and risk of supply chain management and what are the benchmarks for service provided by 3PLs?

Smyrlis and Dalmazzi will attempt to answer those questions and many more by presenting the results from Transportation Media’s third Annual Survey of Canadian Third-Party Logistics. They will also contrast Canadian outsourcing trends with those in other major industrialized countries.

The event takes place Oct. 18 at the Paramount Conference & Event Venue in Vaughan. For more information and to register, call SCL at 905-513-7300 or go to www.sclcanada.org.

The annual survey is conducted in partnership with SCL Canada and The Logistics Institute.
