MILTON, Ont. — Manheim is celebrating its first major heavy truck equipment auction next week with a special open house.

The open house will be held June 7 at 11 a.m. at the Manheim Toronto Auction House. The event will mark Manheim’s first major equipment auction.

Registration for the auction begins 8 a.m. June 7 and the company notes it’s also open to owner/operators as well as fleets.

Manheim plans to host the auctions on the first Thursday of each month. The auctions will be held at Manheim’s location at 8277 Lawson Road, in Milton, Ont. The company says its Milton location offers on-site licensing, financing, reconditioning services, arbitration protections and live Internet bidding. The company also offers reserved pricing and same day settlements.

Manheim is hoping to see both fleets and owner/operators take part in its upcoming auctions.

“This important launch is a great opportunity for those looking to upgrade or sell equipment,” the company said in a release. “For the transportation fleets, Manheim Toronto offers a great place to move equipment no longer required as the company takes care of all the necessary services from reconditioning the units to sale and licensing. For the owner/operator, the value of such an auction is in the opportunity to upgrade and find new equipment.”

TST Truckload Express will also be on-hand with an eye to growing its owner/operator fleet. Recruiters will be on-hand to discuss opportunities with current and prospective owner/operators, organizers say.
