Fuso’s GM of Canadian operations adds new title to resume

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Brian Shantz has been appointed as the new director of dealer network development and operations for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA).

In his added role, Shantz, who is also the general manager of Canadian operations, will be responsible for dealer network development for all of Mitsubishi Fuso’s North American operations, including Canada, the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam, effective immediately (Nov. 24).

“Over the years, (Shantz) has proven to be a valuable asset to MFTA,” said Jecka Glasman, MFTA president and CEO. “We have just finished an evaluation of the dealer operations role and its responsibilities, and have revised the position based on that evaluation. We’re confident that (Shantz’s) career experience, both in his tenure at MFTA and before, makes him the perfect fit for this new position.”

Shantz joined Mitsubishi Fuso in 1999 as the director of sales for Canada and was promoted early in 2015 to general manager of Canadian operations, two positions he will retain in addition to his new role.

Shantz was employed with International Truck Group (Navistar), McCleave Leasing and Volvo Truck Corporation prior to joining MFTA.

Mitsubishi Fuso, located in Logan Township, N.J., aims to deliver trucks with the lowest cost-of-ownership in their class, providing for the transportation needs of a variety of businesses and industries, including beverage, catering, refrigerated and dry cargo delivery fleets.
