Ontario trailer company purchased by North American operator

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Marubeni America has acquired 100% equity ownership of a Mississauga, Ont.-based trailer rental, leasing and service company.

Marubeni acquired ownership from Train Trailer Rentals (TTRL) founders and long-term shareholders on Aug. 14.

TTRL has supplied dry vans, refrigerated trailers and container chassis in Canada for more than 35 years, with locations and full-service facilities in Mississauga and Calgary.

Marubeni has a long history of leasing in North America, and currently owns several leasing companies including a specialty vehicle lessor and a railcar lessor.
