Trimac buys assets from Groupe Robert subsidiary

by Truck News

BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — Trimac has announced its purchase of assets and a contract from Transport Rollex, a small division within Groupe Robert.

The agreement covers eight power units and 22 trailers as well as the assignment of a transportation agreement for hauling bulk liquid emulsions from a chemical plant in Quebec to various points in Canada and the US.

Annual revenues are about $3 million, Trimac announced.

“The asset purchase from Rollex is consistent with our strategic objective to expand our market share in Quebec,” said Ed Malysa, president and chief operating officer of Trimac.
