Zavcor Trucking launches training academy

by Truck News

FORT ERIE, Ont. – Zavcor Trucking is getting into the driver training business.

The company announced it is launching the Zavcor Professional Driver Training Academy in February.

“There are endless opportunities for men and women entering the industry,” said Kirk Zavitz, head of Zavcor Trucking. “As we looked at those opportunities, we decided to take the natural next step to control our destiny as we continue to grow our company. There are massive labor opportunities in the transportation industry. A/Z drivers are in demand.  Truck driving is a respected, and fulfilling career and offers high paying jobs for both genders.”

Zavcor is an approved Registered Private Career College and says it will deliver a curriculum that exceeds Ontario’s impending mandatory entry-level training requirements by 80 hours. Christine Trombley is director of the Zavcor Professional Driver Training Academy.

Graduates of the program will have the opportunity to work for Zavcor or another of the company’s carrier partners.

For more information contact Trombley at 905-382-3444, ext. 209.
