CALGARY, Alta. – Alternative Fuel Systems Inc. received new orders for more than 650 of its Falcon natural gas pressure regulators from customers around the world representing a total value of over $600,000 to the Canadian firm.

The current sales for the Falcon were generated from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), purchasers of AFS Natural Gas Systems and to various conversion outfitters around the world.

Natural gas pressure regulators are a necessary component in the more than 1.5 million natural gas vehicles (NGV’s) currently on the road worldwide.

“The Falcon regulator has already been thoroughly tested and approved by a number of OEMs,” comments Walter Brooks, AFS chairman and interim chief executive officer.

“With major OEM’s such as Freightliner, BMW, Opel, Volvo and Thomas Dennis all building NGV’s, and with each of them planning expansions to their NGV production, the market is wide open for the Falcon,” points out Brooks.

He adds “We are expanding our current marketing efforts in the U.S. where there are over 40 OEM’s and hundreds of conversion outfitters.” n
