Highway 403 improvements completed
BURLINGTON, Ont. – Road widening of Highway 403 through the Burlington area to improve road safety at the King Road underpass is complete, the provincial transportation minister has announced.
Highway 403 eastbound has been widened to five lanes through the King Road underpass, providing three lanes toward the QEW and a two-lane exit to Highway 407. Highway lighting through the interchange has also been upgraded, and new directional signs have been posted.
The $750,000 road improvement project began in September and has been completed in less than two months.
“Highway 403 is a key transportation corridor in the Hamilton/Halton area,” says transportation minister Norm Sterling. “Now that work has been completed, drivers will enjoy improved traffic conditions through this area.”
