JEMSEG, N.B. – According to the Maritime Road Development Corporation, the latest section of the four-lane highway from Fredericton to Moncton opened Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. The seven-kilometre section includes the new Jemseg River Bridge and the connecting segment of four-lane highway through the Grand Lake Meadows. Ramps at the westerly end of this section will bring traffic on and off the existing two-lane highway just before the new Saint John River Bridge, which is not expected to open until later this fall. n
