Kudos to the kind and caring

Dear editor,

I drive longhaul for a living and I never got to say thank you to the wonderful people who were so nice and kind to us drivers on Sept. 11 and 12.

I was stuck on Ontario’s Hwy. 402, for 18 hours, but two nice ladies from a local radio station brought hot pizza around, and they also took my girlfriend to a restroom.

I want to say thanks to all those that came to the aid of the drivers stuck on the 402.

Also, I recently got a flat tire in Nebraska. When I spoke to the lady at Bridgestone, she wanted to thank us Canadians for being there to help with the crisis in the U.S.

She heard how we felt the U.S. did not acknowledge Canada for their help and she, as a U.S. resident, wants to thank Canada personally.

Hats off to Jackie, the tire lady.
