ArvinMeritor recently appointed John Hinesley, regional manager, western region, to the board of directors of the SkillsUSA-VICA. SkillsUSA-VICA is an applied method for preparing America’s high performance workers in public career and technical programs.

ArvinMeritor Inc. announced the appointment of Daniel Chien to director of Commercial Vehicle Systems, Suspension Systems. ArvinMeritor suspension systems provide exceptional ride quality, stability and durable performance for trailers in the specialized vocational markets. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic actions to generate growth and create new opportunities for the Suspension Systems business in the Americas. Chien will be based at ArvinMeritor World Headquarters in Troy, Mich.

Mack Trucks Inc. recently announced the promotion of Mark T. McLaughlin to senior vice-president – human resources and administration. He will be responsible for all of the company’s human resources and administrative functions, including compensation, benefits, payroll, employment, career management, labor relations, health and safety, medical, Lehigh Valley facilities management, and the Mack Institute.

Haldex Brake Systems, global designer, manufacturer and distributor of heavy-duty brake and suspension control systems technologies, recently named Parker Hilands as the new director of OEM Sales for the Company’s North American Sales and Service Organization. Hilands brings extensive experience in OEM markets as an OEM national sales manager and in product development.

Haldex Brake Systems recently named Steffen Pisoni as the new Technical Product Manager for Actuator Products within the company’s Braking Controls Product Center, in Europe. Pisoni was previously a design engineer and has been promoted from within the Haldex organization.

Koneta/LRV has appointed Tess Smith to the newly created position of west coast regional sales manager to support increased sales volume and distribution in the region for its line of heavy-duty OE and aftermarket truck accessories. Smith brings extensive sales experience with leading heavy-duty truck product companies and will oversee and coordinate the activities of Koneta sales rep groups, distributors, dealers and OE customers.

Steve Ingle was recently appointed to the position of marketing communications assistant with the Harper group of companies (Harper Detroit Diesel Limited, and its divisions, International Power Systems Inc., and its divisions and Diesel Distribution Inc.) Ingle will report to Robin Griffin, marketing communications manager, in his new position. n
