PMTC HANDS REINS TO MIKE MILLIAN

Bruce Richards first signed on as president of the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada for a short, three-year term. That was 21 years ago. He has finally decided to step down from that lofty role and will instead pursue other interests. He’ll remain on as a consultant for as long as he’s needed, to help his successor Mike Millian acclimatize to his new role.

Mike’s no stranger to PMTC members. He’s been a strong advocate of the association and a frequent guest speaker at its annual conference. I’ve always enjoyed Mike’s from-the-trenches reports on topics such as technology and safety.

He’s a real fleet guy, who’ll bring a fresh new perspective to the position. I recently did an interview with Bruce and Mike, which you can read here. This also means that Mike will be writing the monthly column the PMTC submits to Truck News. Look for Mike’s debut column in the March issue. He got it in before the deadline, which bodes well!
