BRANTFORD, Ont. — Trucking companies from across North America will be actively recruiting both new and experienced professional drivers at the Best Western Brant Park Inn March 3. The event, hosted by Shaun David Truck Driving School, will feature two sessions (2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.) for companies like TST Truckload Express, Sunbury Transport, RST, Kriska and SGT to promote their business and recruit drivers.

“Capacity is picking up on both sides of the border and the industry buzz is that the biggest hurdle will be finding quality drivers to move their goods,” says Shaun David president David Nicholas, who says the company hopes to produce more than 100 new operators this year.

“With Brantford having so many trucking companies in the area people looking for a new career have a great opportunity to obtain a long term sustainable career and earn a great living,” said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS Transportation Specialists.

“I have known the owners of Shaun David personally and professionally since its inception. Their commitment to education and training is reflective on the quality of professional drivers that graduate from the school. Brantford is surrounded by a huge farming community and when these people decide to come into the transportation industry, the transferable skills make them a natural,” said Jayne Gunn, long-time Brantford resident and Ontario recruiter for Sunbury Transport.
