Mitsubishi Fuso names new director of product management
LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Otto Schmid has made the move from Daimler AG to the position of director of product management with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America.
Schmid comes directly from his role as project lead at customer service for Daimler Trucks Asia, where he worked for eight years in Germany and Japan.
“We are looking forward to having Otto on our team,” said Jecka Glasman, Mitsubishi Fuso president and CEO. “He has already worked on several projects with (Mitsubishi Fuso), and brings to his new position proven expertise in diesel engines, coupled with vast experience as a powertrain engineer. He has also served as an auditor, reviewing and analyzing a number of worldwide research and development projects.”
In his new position with Mitsubishi Fuso, Schmid will be based at the company’s headquarters in Logan Township, N.J.
