BOCA RATON, Fla.PeopleNet has announced the availability of software on commercial-grade handheld devices to meet the market’s need for point-of-work management throughout the supply chain, from pick-up to the customer’s doorstep to the back office.

The announcement was made at the company’s 10th annual user conference being held today through August 8 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. Representing the first company to partner with PeopleNet, Intermec Industry Marketing Director Jeffrey Sibio said, “This integration was customer driven by users we shared with PeopleNet, especially those in the consumer goods private fleets sector.  The combination of Intermec’s point-of-work solution with PeopleNet’s in-cab technologies allows for the efficient single solution approach our customers have been looking for.”

PeopleNet President Brian McLaughlin said, “The integration of PeopleNet’s software with commercial-grade handhelds is a natural progression in offering an advanced end-to-end management solution. By enabling our customers to conveniently access more display options that are fully supported as part of the power of our data-rich applications through a single display, we are providing another option for managing their supply chain.
