TORONTO, Ont. — Truck News has teamed up with KRTS Transportation Specialists to create a new online information video series that’s designed to inform and entertain.

The Driver’s Seat online information video series, powered by CarriersEdge, will address safety, compliance and business topics critical to the success of both fleets and owner/operators, the companies announced.

Videos will feature Truck News personality Adam Ledlow as he learns the correct procedures for common driver tasks such as coupling/uncoupling, air brake checks and daily vehicle inspections under the guidance of KRTS instructors.

“Truck News has proven itself as the leader in online information delivery for the Canadian trucking industry,” said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS. “The Driver’s Seat takes that to the next level by providing videos that are educational and enjoyable to watch at the same time.”

“KRTS is well known for the quality of its instructors, so they were the obvious choice to work with on this initiative,” added Rob Wilkins publisher with Transportation Media, which produces Truck News, Truck West, Motortruck Fleet Executive and Canadian Transportation & Logistics magazines. “We’re very excited to be working with them to produce this series.”

The Driver’s Seat will be available as a subscription service, offering unlimited usage for a low monthly fee. For a sneak peak at what the series has to offer, check out this week’s episode of Transportation Matters.
