PACCAR has started an engineering program with Allison Transmission to release the fully automatic Allison TC10 in the company’s latest truck models. The transmission will be offered in Kenworth T680 and T880 and Peterbilt models 567 and 579 with both PACCAR and Cummins engines.

Offered with 10 forward speeds and two reverse, the TC10 uses a patented torque converter and twin-countershaft design. It’s for tractor configurations to optimize performance and fuel economy with uninterrupted power shifting in all ranges.

A five-year or 750,000-mile transmission system warranty is included.
