Bandag treads for severe service, tough weather

Bandag

Bandag rolled out two new treads for construction and refuse trucks, including one for cold-weather markets. The BDM (Bandag Drive Mixed) tread is made for drive positions of vehicles that encounter a lot of mud, snow, and severe weather, while the BRM (Bandag All-Position Mixed) tread is an all-position tread for on/off-road and P&D applications in milder climates.

The BDM and BRM use a new type of compound the company calls the Longeviti Series. Bandag says it lives up to the name, increasing tread life by up to 20 per cent. Both treads fit most tire sizes common to construction and waste vehicles, including 11R22.5, 11R24.5, and 3415/80R22.5. Contact www.bandag.com or 563/262-1400 for details.
