Bridgestone Americas, Inc. has expanded its Firestone Transforce tire line to include sizes for Class 4-5 commercial trucks.

The Firestone Transforce AT2 is an all-position radial tire designed for all terrains and features a tread for wet and winter traction, the company says.

The new 225/70R19.5 LRF size is currently available in Canada and the U.S. Sizes 225/70R19.5 LRG and 245/70R19.5 LRG will be available by Oct. 1.

Features include a compound designed to prevent heat-related damage, protecting the tire casing’s integrity and promoting future retreads.

It comes with a three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) marking to designate winter traction, and multiple tread edges to promote traction in wet conditions. The tire’s sidewall protector ribs fight curbing-related damage, while a high-scrub read compound enhances scrubbing resistance and promotes tread life, the company said. A wider belt extends the tire’s should area to help diminish irregular wear, too.
