Cargo Securement Straps
J. J. Keller & Associates has launched a line of private-label cargo securement straps, providing what it calls a high-quality, low-cost option that enables truck operators to manage the budget more effectively while maintaining safety.
The new straps are available in a choice of ratchet strap with flat hooks, logistic cam buckle strap, and winch strap with flat hooks. They meet current DOT regulations and CVSA guidelines, as well as CHP, North American Cargo Securement, and WSTDA Standards. The straps are constructed of resin-coated polyester for minimum elongation and maximum abrasion resistance, providing a minimum of 40% retained strength after cycle testing, the company says, which is comparable to industry standard webbing.
The company says it spent considerable time researching industry trends, customer preferences, and products already in the marketplace, concluding that more often than not, fleets use a standard webbing with price as the pivotal factor.
Its branded straps provide the same durability and quality construction as others, but at a lower price point, says Keller.
The straps are the company’s first venture into private-label cargo securement devices, and it says that expansion of the line will be evaluated as customer demand evolves.
