Comdata enhances controls to combat fuel fraud

Comdata’s next generation of Enhanced Authorization Controls are designed to help protect fleets from losses relating to fuel fraud.

The system now combines real-time truck locations, tank capacity, and tank levels into the fuel card authorization process in the name of combatting buddy fueling, skimming, fuel theft, card counterfeiting, and other illegal activity.

The new product integrates the GPS and ELD vehicle location data along with the merchant location and even vehicle diagnostic data.

Fleet managers, meanwhile, can customize “decision rules” that apply when suspicious activity is identified.
