Cummins now offering SmartWay-certified ’07 engines

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Cummins 2007 engines, which meet requirements for the US Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay-designated highway tractors, part of the US EPA SmartWay Transport Partnership, are now available in Class 8 tractors. The on-highway engines include the ISX, ISM and ISL models.

Cummins ComfortGuard auxiliary power unit is also available to assist carriers in meeting SmartWay membership requirements and can be specified in a SmartWay Class 8 tractor.

Cummins engines can be purchased in SmartWay-eligible Class 8 tractors from International, Volvo, Kenworth and Peterbilt.
