Dana begins e-axle production, supporting FCCC MT50e vehicles

Dana is beginning production on the first in a lineup of Spicer electrified Zero-6 e-axles – the es9000r e-axle – to support Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation’s all-electric MT50e medium-duty delivery vehicle.

The truck’s propulsion system offers up to 240 kW of power, and features a range of up to 274 km when fully charged.

The Zero-6 e-axles fully integrates into the truck’s chassis, while the e-propulsion system itself can be recharged in about three hours when using a DC fast charger.

The truck also incorporates Dana’s electronically controlled parking pawl.
