Driver Workflow 2.0 aims to streamline driver productivity

by Truck West

DALLAS, Texas – Omnitracs released its Driver Workflow 2.0 Jan. 12, an application on the company’s Mobile Computing Platform 50, which features suite integration that enables direct access and data sharing to other in-cab applications through a centralized driver workspace view.

Expanding on existing application functionality, Driver Workflow 2.0 consolidates all load assignments, trip information, tasks and forms, something Omnitracs says significantly improves driver productivity and satisfaction by modernizing in-cab tasks and improving accuracy.

“We continuously look for opportunities to improve fleet productivity and enhance the driver experience— Driver Workflow 2.0 does both,” said Jimmy Fortuna, vice-president of product management at Omnitracs. “Given the widespread driver shortage in our industry, fleets are increasingly looking for tools to improve overall driver satisfaction with their mobile work environment. Driver Workflow 2.0 streamlines drivers’ duties with an intelligent, centralized work space for all in-cab tasks and forms while automatically updating dispatch on status as activities are completed.”

Driver Workflow 2.0 is integrated with current Omnitracs mobile fleet management applications, like Hours of Service, Media Manager, In-cab Scanning and Navigation, which minimizes the need for drivers to switch between various application screens to complete their duties. The new application also delivers customized circle of service forms to automate and structure many standard route tasks, customer or fleet operation.

Omnitracs develops fleet management, routing and predictive analytics solutions for private and for-hire fleets. For more information on Driver Workflow 2.0 visit omnitracs.com/products/driver-workflow.
