Eaton releases new aftermarket, self-adjusting clutches

by Truck News

GALESBURG, Mich. – Eaton has engineered a new EverTough self-adjusting clutch for aftermarket applications, which the company says eliminates the need for manual adjustments.

“EverTough clutches are an excellent choice for customers looking for an unbeatable combination of value and performance,” said Ben Karrer, global product strategy manager for Eaton. “The clutches also feature Eaton’s proven self-adjust technology that competitive models just cannot match, and receive the same industry-best Roadranger driveline support as our OEM (original equipment manufacturers) clutches.”

Eaton, a power management company, says the EverTough clutch is designed for later life-cycle trucks and will help increase their longevity. The clutch features easily-seen wear indicators, stainless steel cam springs, full-round baffles, dampers that optimize aftermarket torsional vibration needs and has a 25,000-mile lube interval.

EverTough comes in both 14- and 15.5-inch sizes, has a one-year warranty and is available at several North American truck dealers and independent parts suppliers.
