EcoLine grease offers a greener option

by Today's Trucking

Cortec Corporation’s EcoLine heavy-duty grease offers an environmentally friendly alternative wherever an NLGI Grade 2 grease is used.

The bio-based biodegradable grease is for extreme pressure applications, and can be used in wheel bearings, gears, fifth wheels, and farm equipment, among other uses, the company says.

EcoLine is formulated with a vegetable-oil base, lithium-complex-based thickener, and extreme pressure additives. It meets NLGI’s GC-LB specifications for fretting wear protection, oxidation and thermal stability, and resistance to rust and corrosion.

The forumula is designed to be biodegradable, non-bioaccumulative, and aquatically nontoxic with no impact on plants, Cortec adds.
