Endurant XD transmission

Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies has unveiled the new Endurant XD series – an automated transmission for on-highway applications with high gross combined weight ratings.

Uses include trucks that haul double and triple trailers, and severe-duty on/off highway applications like dump trucks and logging trucks.

The transmission has the torque and horsepower capacity to cover all North American Class 8 engines, including the Cummins X15, and will be available beginning in 2021.

It has 18 forward speeds, up to six reverse gears, and optimized software for the shifting decisions. It also features provisions for bottom eight-bolt power takeoffs, rear four-bolt power takeoffs, and transmission oil coolers.
