Fontaine paving trailer hits the road

by Today's Trucking

The Fontaine Workhorse 55PVR trailer offers road builders a low front approach angle for hugging pavers and a removeable center bogie section to accommodate excavators.

There’s a nine-degree front ramp at the deck and 16-degree deck-to-bogie transition ramps.

It all offers 55 tons in 16 feet or 50 tons in 12 feet with three or four close-coupled axles, handling a wide variety of concentrated loads.

There’s also a four-point lift system to remove the bogie center platform, creating a low boom well.

The Workhorse 55PVR comes with Fontaine’s hydraulic removable gooseneck that can connect to or disconnect from the deck on uneven ground.
