Goodyear expands off-highway tire offerings

by Today's Trucking

Goodyear has expanded its off-highway large haulage lineup with the RH-4A+ tire, designed to address hard rock underfoot conditions.

The tire features an extra-deep E-4+ tread depth with a high net-to-gross tread pattern and optimized footprint pressure, the company says.

Benefits include enhanced sidewall durability and lateral stability thanks to what’s referred to as Durawall Technology, a wider bead design, and wider molded rim. Operating temperatures are cooled thanks to the tread’s centerline blading, shoulder lug pockets, and shoulder lug side notches.

Field results have found the RH-4A+ offers 12% more hours to removal than an RM-4B+ tire.

The RH-4A+ is currently available in 59/80R63, 46/90R57 and 27.00R49 sizes, and is available in customized casing constructions and with Goodyear’s proprietary tread compounds.
