Goodyear SightLine delivers tire insights for cargo vans
Goodyear is introducing some added intelligence for cargo van fleets, with the Goodyear SightLine system designed for equipment in the field service, construction, and final-mile delivery segments.
Goodyear SightLine combines sensors and cloud-based algorithms to monitor tire pressure and wear. Features include leak detection, inflation pressure monitoring, parked vehicle tire monitoring, and tire identification. For automakers, it monitors remaining tread depth and mileage, and estimates tire loads.
There is more to come. The manufacturer has committed to adding tire intelligence to all its new products by 2027.
Future editions of SightLine will even offer feedback on road conditions and support autonomous vehicles, the company says. The autonomous support will include estimates of tire wear, load, and friction to support stopping distances.
