Heat King units tap into solar power
Thermo King is now offering solar panels for Heat King heating units, offering a power source that keeps batteries charged and limiting sulfation.
The 40-watt solar panel is paired with Heat King units that deliver 50,000 BTUs of climate control.
There are also fuel savings to be realized thanks to the reduced load on the alternator, the supplier says.
Running time is reduced overall, reducing starter engagement as well.
