Heliograph targets driver verification, compliance

Heliograph has launched with a transportation technology platform designed to help operators reduce compliance risk, improve operational visibility and replace fragmented systems with a more integrated operating model.

The company said the platform focuses on verifying drivers and creating operational records tied directly to transportation activity.

According to a news release, the system combines driver identity verification, credential validation, vehicle assignment, trip monitoring, secure communications, workflow management and compliance records into a single platform.

“Most platforms track vehicles. Very few verify drivers and connect that verification to the actual operation,” said Tim O’Hara, CEO of Heliograph.

“We believe the next major layer in transportation technology is operational trust — knowing the right person, with the right credentials, is operating the right vehicle and trip, with a record that stands up for compliance, insurance, and oversight.”

Heliograph said it is initially targeting medical transportation providers, logistics fleets, municipal fleets, school transportation operations and other sectors requiring verified credentials and operational records.

The company also said the platform is designed to align with Canadian compliance and operating requirements.
