Here Technologies launches AI last-meter delivery guide tool
Here Technologies has introduced Here Last Meter Guidance, an AI-based platform designed to help drivers complete deliveries more efficiently during the final stage of a route.
The platform, currently in beta, is designed to guide drivers from the optimal parking location to walking paths and the correct building entry point, using AI, sensor data and real-world data from successful deliveries.

Here said in a news release said the platform is intended to address the growing complexity of urban last-mile deliveries, where congestion, limited curb space, and compressed delivery windows are increasing operational pressure on fleets. The company added that the “last meter” portion of deliveries, after the vehicle arrives at the address, has become one of the most difficult and expensive parts of the supply chain.
The platform expands Here’s broader end-to-end route optimization capabilities, which are currently used by more than 500 fleet customers.
“We’ve come a long way in optimizing how drivers get to a destination, but it’s now the last few meters, from arrival through delivery handoff, that present the biggest bottlenecks. Too often, drivers are working with poor, missing or confusing data right where precision matters most,” said Bart Coppelmans, senior director of product management at Here Technologies. “Here Last Meter Guidance is designed to bring more certainty to that final handoff. With fuel price volatility, condensed delivery windows, delivery automation and heightened consumer expectations, the stakes have never been higher.”
