International offering data-based maintenance recommendations

by Today's Trucking

International is now tracking and prioritizing truck maintenance through an Advanced Preventive Maintenance platform.

Intelligent Fleet Care uses data collected from Navistar’s OnCommand Connection to calculate fuel economy and recommend maintenance intervals for each make and model within a fleet. It takes into consideration type of vehicle, engine hours, or mileage.

It’s part of International 360 and allows fleets to better plan and optimize maintenance schedules, according to the company, which was demonstrating the new offering at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s spring meetings in early March.

The offering also allows for seamless communication with International dealers, the company says.
