Isaac Connect app brings data to smartphones

by Today's Trucking

Isaac Instruments is introducing a new app to accompany its InControl offering and rugged tablet. The smartphone app allows drivers to remain connected with their fleet on personal devices when not in the truck or on-duty.

Isaac Connect provides drivers with Hours of Service information, load schedules from dispatch, and access to messages and documents. Info is synched between the app and tablet.

“Our fleet clients told us they needed a way to further simplify communications to better cater to drivers’ needs,” said Jacques DeLarochelliere, Isaac’s CEO and co-founder. “For the 500 fleets and 50,000 drivers using our technology every day, mission-critical functions need to run on a rugged, in-cab tablet. For other tasks, however, a ‘bring-your-own-device’ option is good enough.”

The app will be offered for Android devices beginning in March, and Apple later in the second quarter.
