J. J. Keller & Associates has launched a free mobile app providing digital access to the Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG) for drivers, emergency responders and hazardous materials professionals.

Available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the J. J. Keller ERG App provides access to the ERG in a digital format while complementing the printed guide required by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, according to a news release. By pairing print and digital resources, organizations can enhance preparedness while supporting regulatory compliance, the company said.

The app includes indexed and color-coded navigation, UN number searches, visual hazardous material identification tools, offline access, and light and dark display modes.

“Having emergency response information available in multiple formats adds an extra layer of readiness,” said Laura Johnston, associate director of digital commerce at J. J. Keller. “This free app makes it easier to access the ERG quickly in the field. It doesn’t replace the printed guide; it strengthens its effectiveness.”
