J560 PLC adapter interfaces with Wabco brakes
Nexiq Trechnologies’ universal J560 PLC [power line carrier] adapter now interfaces with all Wabco PLC trailer brakes.
Updatable in the field, the adapters are also said to to improve communication performance. And they can be connected to a vehicle between a tractor and trailer, or to a trailer alone.
It all extends the capability of J1708/J1587 diagnostic tools to support J2497 PLC communication. The adapter extracts data from the power line and converts it to J1708.
When combined with generic ABS diagnostic software applications, the adapter can help detect ABS warning lamp messages from the trailer ECU, test the in-cab trailer ABS warning lamp, test SAE 1708 MID 10 and 11 messages, and test SAE J1587 MIDs 136 to 139.
