KIRKLAND, Wash. — Kenworth is now offering an original equipment kit to convert its popular AeroCab sleepers to extended day cabs, making select Kenworth trucks even more valuable in the resale market.

The Kenworth Extended Day Cab Conversion Kit is now available on Kenworth T600, T800 and W900 models with AeroCab sleepers.

“Our factory designed and supported conversion kit further enhances Kenworth’s premium value in the resale market,” said Gary Moore, Kenworth’s assistant general manager for sales and marketing. “Kenworth engineers have developed an innovative approach to converting an AeroCab into an extended day cab. The conversion kit utilizes highly tooled production parts to ensure the highest quality and reliability, while generating exceptional value to our customers."

The AeroCab conversion kit extends the cab six inches and adds five inches of headroom. It also frees up added room behind the wheel for maximum driver comfort and enables the seat to recline up to 21 degrees. Plus, the driver gains over two cubic feet of storage for personal gear in an easily accessible rear wall storage unit. All of this adds up to increased life cycle value for Kenworth truck owners.”

The sleeper is unbolted from the cab and a newly produced one-piece back wall assembly is moved into position. The extended day cab conversion can be completed to production specifications locally at Kenworth dealerships and requires no major modifications to the cab structure.
