KW offers Greatec wide tires

Kenworth will offer Bridgestone 445/50R22.5 wide-base Greatec radial tires on its T600, T800, T2000, and W900 on-highway model trucks. Like other wide-base singles, the Greatec is meant to be a direct replacement for dual tire assemblies at the drive or trailer axle positions.
For now, provincial weight restrictions on single tires severely limit the appeal of replacing dual assemblies with wide-base tires in Canada, except in Ontario and Quebec, where the regs are more liberal. Michelin, which introduced its X-One line of wide singles in 2001, has lobbied transport officials to reconsider their policies.
