The new ILAS III valve (integrated lift axle system) from Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems is used for lowering and lifting one or more axles depending on the load applied to the vehicle.
Both fully automatic and manual lift versions of the valve include 3/8-in. push-to-connect fittings installed in the valve body. These integrated connections eliminate multiple fittings, assembly time, and complicated plumbing. Each valve is also adjustable to respond specifically to needed applications.
The valve responds to the pressure in primary suspension air bags and automatically lowers the lift axle when loaded. It also features adjustable lift and lower pressures. With the manual option, lowering is automatic but the lift function is not.
