Mac Tools unveils orbital sander for brake jobs

Mac Tools
Mac Tools has introduced a new three-inch-diameter random orbital sander for brake maintenance and collision repair. Mac Tools says the ergonomically designed sander is an alternative to using a right-angle die grinder and non-woven abrasive disk for brake maintenance and reducing the time to produce a non-directional scratch pattern as a final step on the machined rotor surface.

Performing at 12,000 rpm with low vibration, the sander maximizes sanding speed and provides a non-directional brake pad surface in five seconds per side while helping to eliminate squealing.

The multi-purpose sander has one-hand speed regulation to help prevent inadvertent “slip switching” and features a vibration absorbing comfort grip to reduce fatigue. The balanced hub allows for specific balanced pad size for precision-controlled sanding and polishing. And the three-inch diameter is ideal for small or hard-to-reach jobs.
