Motive tracker monitors range of equipment assets

by Today's Trucking

Motive has introduced a new tracking device for equipment ranging from trailers to smaller items such as generators.

The Motive Asset Gateway Mini is 5.8”x3.3” and can be discretely mounted to equipment, including unpowered assets such as toolboxes. Fleet managers can track the location, utilization and health of the equipment it is attached to, the company claims.

“We were frustrated with the connectivity issues we experienced with our previous asset monitoring system,” Eduardo Lopez, loss prevention representative at E&A Welding, said in a release. “Since switching to the Motive Asset Gateway Mini, we’ve seamlessly tracked a range of assets without issue, from climate-controlled trailers to generators, even equipment without an internal battery.”

Motive says the new device allows companies to eliminate manual check-ins, reposition underused assets, prevent theft and loss of equipment, and reduce equipment downtime.
