New Cooper Work Series trailer tire for high-scrub applications
Goodyear has introduced a new Cooper Work Series RHT 2 tire for better fuel economy and durability in high-scrub applications.
The tire is SmartWay verified and ideal for tandem and spread axle trailer applications, the company says.
“Dependability and durability are top-of-mind for fleet operators when choosing a tire that meets the unique demands of regional trailer tire applications,” said Tom Lippello, senior director, commercial marketing, Goodyear North America. “Fleets can feel confident they can navigate tough roads while delivering efficiency for their business with this new Work Series trailer tire offering.”
The tire is available in eight sizes. Its features include: a low rolling resistance and high scrub tread compound; four heavy-duty full-width steel belts for durability in spread axle applications, and also to improve casing retreadability; tread features and a shoulder profile that minimizes tearing and chunking in high-scrub conditions; and a wear square visual indicator to help operators determine remaining tread life.
