Oil Separator from Chicago Rawhide
Chicago Rawhide, a supplier of radial shaft seals and elastomeric products, has introduced an internal oil separator as an accessory for its Turbo-2000 and HD-2000 Brakemaster air dryers.
The separator, which fits inside the air dryer, extracts oil from the air system, protecting both the desiccant bed and downstream air system components. It can be purchased along with anew air dryer or retrofitted to an existing CR air dryer installation.
The company says the oil separator, mounted integrally with a CR dryer, contains a self-cleaning filter media which removes oil with its three-micron filter and prevents blockage. The product is said to extend desiccant life, which results in longer service intervals and reduced component replacement costs.
