Optronics strip lights designed for linking

by Today's Trucking

Optronics International’s new ILL23CB modular LED strip lights are 17.25 inches long and a mere 0.75 inches thick – and they can also be mated together to form about seven feet of a solid, linear light source.

The design is easy to install, even in corners, while the automotive styling and end caps deliver a clean, finished look, the company says.

LED strip lights are usually engineered for independent applications, requiring them to be “daisy-chained” together if multiple lamps are used. That wiring process, Optronics adds, can be tedious and time-consuming.

Designed for interior environments, the new lamps feature an ABS housing with an integrated acrylic lens, and can be mounted with two fasteners.

Each lamp comes with a power cap on one end and trim finish cap on the other. The caps themselves can be detached to reveal modular connecting ports that allow up to six of the lamps to plug together.

Each 18-diode lamp packs 880 raw lumens and delivers 730 effective lumens. They also accommodate 12- and 24-volt systems, while one power cap can power up to six connected lamps.
