Partnership provides real-time tire and mileage monitoring
LONGVIEW, Texas – Stemco and TrackPoint Systems are teaming up to provide a tire and mileage monitoring system for untethered trailers.
The partnership combines Stemco’s BatRF sensor technology with TrackPoint’s solar battery charging technology, the TrIPS system, which will now allow fleet managers to track tire pressure and mileage enabling managers to improve fuel economy, reduce road calls and increase tread life of the tire.
“Partnering with TrackPoint Systems is yet another way that we are making the roadways safer,” said Chris Steph, product manager of Stemco innovative tire and mileage solutions. “Fleets will now be able to get accurate and timely information about tire pressures and mileage for remote trailers. This is a great solution for lease and rental fleets because it can help with accurate billing and ensures vehicle readiness.”
Stemco’s real-time monitoring system also offers a wireless hubodometer solution and Aeris SmartSense high performance tire inflation system.
In addition to several safety and environmental benefits, the combined technologies aim to improve vehicle handling and overall billing accuracy.
