Peterbilt has developed a new electric vehicle operating cost calculator for customers considering electrifying their fleets.

It’s available at Peterbilt.com and helps customers evaluate the total cost of ownership for the Models 220EV, 520EV and 579EV on a per mile or per hour basis. The calculator compares power consumption and fuel costs between electric and diesel vehicles for multiple configurations.

Customers can use a slider function or input their data for key variables, such as annual mileage, electricity costs, vehicle price, charging stations, rebates, etc. The calculator provides a detailed summary that outlines the total electric costs and operating costs per vehicle, the company says.
