PowerPro Extreme 5 gets extended warranty coverage

Prestolite Electric is now offering extended coverage of up to two years and unlimited mileage to its PowerPro Extreme 5 truck starter motors.

The bus starter motors have extended coverage of up to three years and unlimited mileage.

The Prestolite Power Promise warranty also includes Leece-Neville IdlePro and IdlePro Extreme alternators.

Features of the PowerPro Extreme 5 starter include a sealed noseless design to protect against contaminants, and an electric soft-start relay that allows the pinion to properly engage the ring gear prior to cranking.

The Prestolite Power Promise warranty covers manufacturing defects; component failure; electrical or mechanical overrun/overload; re- and mis-engagement; pinion milling and teeth damage; failure due to excess corrosion, rust, oil, dirt/debris, water and heat; and other common warranty concerns.
