STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — PPG Commercial Coatings is offering commercial refinishers and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) a new warranty system called the Commercial Vehicle Paint Performance Warranty program.

Officials say the program guarantees the durability of PPG paint work – either an original finish or repair – performed to PPG specifications for a period of between three and seven years, depending on the PPG product system used.

The commercial locations like OEM or refinishing shops must be certified by PPG to guarantee the shop’s ability to meet PPG’s paint application standards as well as employ a certified PPG paint technician to qualify for the program.

PGG officials say their network of shops has been growing since the program was initiated.

“With this warranty a shop’s customers can be confident in knowing that their vehicle’s finish will perform to optimal standards,” said Cristina Fronzaglia, manager of fleet marketing programs for PPG Industries. “They will get outstanding durability, appearance and protection – critical factors to today’s commercial vehicles.”
