Queclink Wireless Solutions has launched the GV650MG, a hard-wired trailer tracking device designed for harsh operating conditions.

The unit features network and positioning capabilities, telematics customization and a backup battery, according to a news release.

“What really sets the GV650MG apart is the Open CAN architecture, which provides the highest levels of flexibility for data integration to meet the most challenging trailer management and supply chain requirements,” said Chris Diaz, director of business development at Queclink Wireless Solutions.

The GV650MG introduces Open CAN to Queclink’s trailer tracking lineup for the first time. Unlike conventional CAN-based devices that rely on fixed pre-integrated libraries, it allows customers to integrate data based on supply chain needs, supporting customized telematics and mixed fleet operations.

The tracker features an IP67/IP69K-rated waterproof design, 8–90 V DC support and a 5,800 mAh battery that can power the unit for up to four months during power loss, the company said.

The LTE Cat-M1 device also includes dual-band GNSS, an optional external antenna and BLE 5.2 connectivity for wireless sensor pairing.
